Early Morning Fire at McDonald’s in Navarre

Manager Trey Anderson looks on as firemen enter the building.

As employees entered the McDonald’s in Navarre to open up the restaurant for breakfast manager Trey Anderson smelled something coming from the ceiling area and quickly called the fire department. Employees were evacuated from the building before  Holley-Navarre fire department arrived at 4:40am.

The smoldering was discovered to be coming from the roof air conditioner . A coil inside had over heated and sparks caught insulation on fire. The smoldering insulation was removed and there was no damage to the building. The lobby doors were opened to air out the remaining smell and the restaurant had the drive thru serving by 7am. Customers were allowed to enter the lobby by 7:30am.

If this had happened on Monday the outcome may have been devastating.
