Florida-Alabama TPO Chairman

Santa Rosa County Commission Chairman Rob Williamson, District 4, will assume the role of chairman of the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) on July 1. Williamson will preside over Florida-Alabama TPO meetings for one year beginning July 12.
“I’m grateful for the support of my fellow TPO members in selecting me as the Florida-Alabama TPO chairman for the upcoming year. I would also like to congratulate Escambia County Commissioner Bergosh on his selection as vice chair. I look forward to serving our TPO members and partners to improve our regional infrastructure.”
The Florida-Alabama TPO is the local, intergovernmental transportation policy board for Santa Rosa and Escambia counties in Florida and part of Baldwin County, Alabama. The board is comprised of local government officials who make decisions regarding transportation at the regional level. The Florida-Alabama TPO is required by federal and state legislation to establish a continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive planning process. It also works to increase safety, security, accessibility, mobility, and connectivity for people and goods.
Commissioner Williamson is the chairman of the Santa Rosa Board of County Commissioners and the District 1 Representative for the Florida Association of Counties, in addition to serving on the National Association of Counties Technology and Telecommunications Steering Committee.
