Man Arrested for Grand Theft Auto

According to a FHP press release a 2015 Hyundai was stolen from the owner at Whataburger on US Highway 98 in Fort Walton Beach this morning after the driver left her keys inside her car. Soon after, the vehicle was reported crashed on Costa Verde Court in Navarre.

The Hyundai had left the roadway and collided with two embankments, a concrete drain, two trash cans, a mail box and finally two more trash cans before finally coming to rest in the driveway of 1916 Costa Verde Court. The driver Slater Glen Allen Cole was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center to be checked out. The driver had stated he crashed due to his disability of having only one arm. The driver was arrested at the hospital and transported to the jail. Charges are grand theft auto , driving while license suspended and failure to maintain lane.
