Panhandle Beekeeping Course
The UF/IFAS Extension Agriculture Team is pleased to offer a Panhandle Beekeeping Course. This is a short-course that will be in March. These classes will be offered via interactive video at extension offices across the Panhandle.

Honeybees are fun to keep in the backyard simply for their buzzing presence and, on hot days, the smell of honey, wafting through the air within a few feet of the hive. They increase pollination in your yard and therefore increase your yields from fruit trees and garden vegetables. You may also harvest honey, beeswax, pollen, and propolis from the hive. Your own honey will provide you a tasty treat for your home table as well as a gift for relatives, friends or neighbors.

  • Classes will be taught by nationally recognized experts.
  • Classes are Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m. CDT.
  • Each presentation will be followed by an interactive question & answer period.
  • Registration for all three classes is $15 per person, or $25 for a family and covers    coursed materials and refreshments.
