Panhandle Butterfly House is seeking volunteers

Panhandle Butterfly House

Join a team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers and expand your horizons! With the advent of spring, the Panhandle Butterfly House is seeking volunteers to serve as docents or tour guides. All volunteers work in teams, educating both children and adults on the biology and habitat of butterflies and their importance in our ecosystem. Don’t be shy – new volunteers are paired with seasoned volunteers in order to learn the ropes.

The Panhandle Butterfly House is a nonprofit educational facility that brings visitors in close contact with live Florida native butterflies in beautiful gardens that support them. The Panhandle Butterfly House is dedicated to educating visitors on the wonders of butterflies and the importance of protecting our pollinators. You can find them in Navarre Park on scenic Santa Rosa Sound at the foot of the Navarre Bridge.

Docents greet walk-in visitors when the house is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from May through August. Docent training is Monday, April 18. Contact pbhdocents@gmail.com for more
