October 23, 2017 – Sarah Whitfield has been awarded Santa Rosa County’s Employee of the Quarter. Born and raised in Santa Rosa County, Sarah loves her work as much as she loves the people she serves. She has worked in several areas of Santa Rosa County government and has found her true home in the office of public information.

In addition to her responsibilities in the public information office, Sarah is involved in her church, serving as co-leader of the women’s ministry, volunteering to provide respite services to parents of children with disabilities, facilitating her church’s audio/video services and serving through OneLove’s local missions. Sarah is equally dedicated to the advancement of the local public relations industry, serving as president-elect and vice president of membership of the Pensacola chapter of Florida Public Relations Association. She was also recently selected as the club’s nomination for the Joe Curley, Rising Leader award.
“Sarah goes well above and beyond her job description,” said Public Information Officer Brandi Whitehurst. “She proactively seeks opportunities to help Santa Rosa County shine and truly has the county – its employees, residents, businesses and visitors – in her best interests.”
