Shooting Investigation
On 3/23/17 at 11:34 pm, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at the 2700 block of Shoreview Ct in Navarre. 911 received information in reference to a male who was shot and needed medical assistance.
Upon SRSO arrival, it was determined an adult male was shot and suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. That individual was transported to a local area hospital.
A search for a suspect immediately took place but Deputies were met with negative results. The victim is currently in a hospital where he is in stable condition. Major Crimes Detectives along with Crime Scene Units responded to investigate.
At this time, Detectives have established a person of interest in this case. He is currently being sought for questioning only. Ironically, this individual also has an active Felony warrant for his arrest. That individual was identified as:
Cody James Gomez
White Male 20 years of age
6’2 tall 155 lbs
Last known address on Villa Ct, Navarre.
