There was a ceremony yesterday which was held on the beach, east of  Navarre pier, to celebrate the life of Kendall Roose known as Rooster. It was followed by the paddlout west of the pier.

All the surfers formed a circle and the ashes of Kendall Roose were released in to the gulf. Followed by a chant of Roose,Roose,Roose that went on for about a minute.

Following the paddle out there was a gathering/party, just like Rooster would want, held at the pavilion next to the pier with live music, food (fish fry, gumbo, burgers) and beverages.
